Thanks for the help Carey! A few weeks ago I built my gaming PC with the
help of my dad and your videos and I’m so happy. 😀 I considered watching
other tutorials, but they just didn’t explain things the way you did. There
was absolutely no ambiguity at all in your tutorial and I always knew what
to do with every part. Thanks so much. 🙂

I really enjoy all of your videos Carey. I will be beginning my first
semester in college majoring in computer science this spring. I have been
watching your videos the past three days and they have given me a ton of
basic knowledge and now I don’t feel like I’m going into college totally
fresh. Really appreciate all your hard work. Keep it up man!

Would just like to take the chance to drop a short note to thank you for
these videos. To be honest I have no idea, at this time, if I will build a
pc of my own, and only got the one I am using to watch this video in
august, but I do find them very informative and fun to watch.

Thanks to your great videos I learned the techniques to help me build my
first PC. I am a senior citizen with more than 45 years experience in
computing, dating back to mainframes, punch cards and FORTRAN IV. I really
appreciate you taking the time to put your videos online.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos and your tips
and advice. I have been working with computers for the past 20 years (a
passion not a career). And I find that the information you share and your
unique approach is most refreshing. Keep up the terrific work and keep
    those wonderful videos coming!

I’ve seen tons of video tutorials from other well known and trusted people
and groups, people who really do know what they’re talking about, but your
tutorials are always the most informative and comprehensive. You explain in
such detail without ever sounding patronizing or pretentious and for
someone who has never taken a class for this and has never really done
anything but just some online research, your videos helped make my very
first home build a great success! Thank you! keep it up!

At the age of 65 I am contemplating assembling my first computer just for
the challenge. I taught senior school for forty years and I have no
hesitation in saying (on your report card) that your teaching style is one
of the best I’ve seen. Easy to listen to, personable and in command the
subject matter. Your tutorials have encouraged me to give it a go. Thanks

I couldn’t have said it any better…. Carey, thank you for making it
possible as Serendipty has mentioned, I have been inspired by your videos
to do the same. Really couldn’t stop laughing when you said “I’m a rebel”
    .. LOL

I heard you mention a link you have on another video that takes over after
the build… like loading the OS Windows 7 and Bios and all that. Can you
furnish the link for that. Really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot.
I got the actual build down now but need some videos on taking it from
there. I have been building them and them giving them to a friend to load
the operating system and bios and such. I would really like to watch your
videos on that so I could take the build all the way. I own a Video
Security company ( and we build our NVR’s
from the ground up to make for a better , more stable and serviceable
NVR/DVR. Thanks again for all your help. You do a great job on your videos.

Hi Carey…yes the video was a bit long but it was also very thorough and
detailed and answered many questions. One comment / question I have is in
regards to the case you used and then your comments on it. You gave all
these wonderful accolades about it regarding quality of construction, cord
management system, etc…but then because of the built in management of the
on board USB 3.0 and how it was wired down to 2.0…You said: “you would
never use this case again and would never recommend it to anyone else to
use. And in fact you would have sent it back if you could have and it was
    cost efficient to do so.”
Then for the entire rest of the video you kept commenting what a wonderful
case it was over and over again w/ regards to being all metal, good clips,
plenty of screw holes, wire management, etc, etc. So it was confusing to
hear you would never use it again nor recommend it…but then kept touting
    all of its benefits.
Which one is it? You can’t blast it and then keep telling us how wonderful
    it is.
Just my observation that nobody else seems to have keyed on.
What case would you wholeheartidly recommend w/o reservation?

process of building a gaming system and just by watching your video’s I am
going to use one of your setups. Thanks for your time. Spoke to the guys over at and they gave me some ideas as well…
