effect on me that Days did 🙁 hopefully it will grow on me

I envy you people for liking a band with such a stupid name and such placid
songs. I don’t think i could ever achieve a state of mind where i’d
appreciate this art, or get it for that matter.

Sort of reminds me of the music I’d make in my room at 2 pm. The melodies
are sort of elongated to the point where they don’t separate much from the
instrumentation. It’s just a big, bleak, blur really. The bass playing is
lazy, the instruments all form this collective sound and there’s nothing
that really ever sticks out. All of the songs go in a direction you’d
    expect them to go into.
I mean, if this album was released in 2003, it’d be alright, but this is
all so well-known and overdone. Not bad at all, just not good either. All
this album does is play for me.

It’s interesting that this album and Beck’s “Morning Phase” hit around the
same time. I swear that you could shuffle these two and just drift away.
Beautiful stuff – a respectful happy salute to Real Estate!

The Greatful Dead overtones and mellow, distant vocals are a poetic and
moving combination. The reassuring, soulful lyrics are a powerful
    augmentation to this poesy composition.

the guitar at the ending of the bend reminds me of Layla.
